Prescription Takeback Day 2021

Prescription takeback day was October 23rd, and the NOCC partnered with both the Orion Township Substation and the LOPD to provide take back sites to community members!

Did you know that more than 60% of teens say prescription drugs are easy to get from the home medicine cabinet? Takeback day is a great way to dispose of the old or unused prescription drugs in a safe way.

Student volunteers helped sort and dispose of the medications at both the Substation (2525 Joslyn Road) and the Lake Orion Police Department (21 E Church Street). Both of these locations have permanent collection boxes for residents to dispose of prescriptions all year long.
