First YAB Meeting of the Year!

Now that the school year has started, it's time for the Youth Action Board to start meeting again! Our first official meeting was September 15th, and it was so great to see some returning and some new faces!

Our officers introduced themselves and talked about why they loved the YAB, and how joining can be a great way to get community service hours, boost college applications, and meet some new friends!

Eager to start the year off strong, we broke into groups to talk about some of the issues we want to tackle this year, like digital footprints and activities to run during Smart Dragons Don't Drink or No Vape November. It was nice to see how passionate everyone was, and we're excited to incorporate everyone's ideas!

If you or your student missed the first meeting, no worries! Meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 8:45am in the staff lounge, and new students are always welcome!
