Parent University: Suicide Prevention Training

All About Connection is a suicide prevention training presented by the North Oakland Community Coalition using the QPR method. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 important steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. People trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.

This workshop is for all Oxford parents/caregivers, and will also serve as a preview of the QPR lessens that will be taught in all face-to-face OHS health classes on March 20th, 21st, and 22nd. Registration for this event is required. There is a five-person registration minimum in order for the workshop to be held. If a workshop needs to be canceled due to low enrollment, an email will be sent to the registrants.
