The Coalition consists of concerned citizens and public leaders from Lake Orion and Oxford. All sectors of the community are encouraged and invited to join.

History
Established in 2007, the North Oakland Community Coalition began as a community response to increases in adolescent alcohol abuse and substance abuse. In 2009, the Coalition achieved its non-profit status. In 2011, the Coalition became the recipient of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Drug Free Communities Support Program.
The Coalition is committed to pro-active education for parents and families, and strives to connect the community together in creating a safe, drug free, healthy environment for all.
