About North Oakland Community Coalition
Established in 2007, NOCC provides critical education and programs related to underage drinking, youth substance use and mental health to encourage a responsible community where healthy decision making is valued and where individuals and families thrive.
NOCC is honored to have formed strong relationships with Lake Orion Community Schools, Orion Township, Village of Lake Orion, Lake Orion Police Department, Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, Orion Township Fire Department, Orion Area Chamber of Commerce, 52/3 District Court, Alliance of Coalitions for Healthy Communities, ACHC Oakland County Families Against Narcotics, local churches and businesses, civic organizations, parents, community members and most importantly our youth. Many thanks to donors as your generosity has allowed NOCC to flourish and increase prevention efforts.
From 2011 - 2015, NOCC was awarded the Office of National Drug Control Policy Drug Free Communities Support grant.
In October 2016, NOCC was awarded a grant through the Oakland County Community Mental Health Authority to bring Life Skills training to 5th and 8th grade students in our district.
From 2017 - 2022, NOCC has been awarded the 2nd round of funding from the Office of National Drug Control Policy Drug Free Communities Support grant.
